Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father was a schoolteacher while her mother was a stay-at-home mother. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick is always a fan of performing, dancing and performing show puppets. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just 6 years old, Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. Her first major role came in 1964 when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another television commercial for Chatty-Cathy's doll. After that, she was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up and It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had an unmarried family. The show ran for five years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. She revealed in it that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on the set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. He was 19. She was 16.
