Jennifer has always wanted to become a multi-tasking celeb. Growing up, she enjoyed a variety of genres of music, but she particularly enjoyed Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and the bachata as well as popular music such as pop, hip-hop and R&B. While she was a fan of movies, music fascinated her as well. Her biggest influence was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. In addition to being an entertainer, Jennifer was also a Catholic girl who spent eight years at the Catholic elementary school called Holy Family, located on The Bronx, before graduating at an all-girls pre-school, Preston High School after a four-year stay. While at high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete who played in track and field and tennis. Her entire life was upbringing in a two-story house in the Castle Hill neighborhood. At 18, Jennifer moved out of the house of her parents. Lopez was a lawyer at that time. She also attended dance classes at night.
